I asked my friends and family to attend an upcoming Bystander Training to learn what they can do to prevent violence in our community. No one has to do everything, but everyone can do something!
Saw a couple in a car fighting. You could see in the body language. He was faced towards her yelling,pointing his finger. She was cowering, wiping away tears. It looked really scary! I called the police.
I spread the word on Facebook about how it’s normal and cool for bystanders intervene!
I was leaving a meeting yesterday and a bus driver flagged me down asking me to drive by and check on a situation she felt uncomfortable about. I was able to drive by and dispatch law enforcement.
